Celebrate 200!

Pekin First has been doing ministry in the Pekin area for 200 Years!
Pekin Was founded in 1824 by Jacob Tharp at the foot of broadway. Just two short years later Methodism became a reality in Pekin with the first organized class by Rev. Jessie Walker. Methodism has always been a part of Pekin! Join in a help us celebrate 200 wonderful years of serving Pekin and the surrounding area.
We are gathering names and contact information of people who were married in our church to invite them to Renewal & Remembrance of Vows Ceremony.  If you have information to share please email info@pekinfirst.org or call the office.

Future Events 

Exciting plans are underway for Pekin First’s 200th Anniversary Celebration, happening all year long!
On July 18, join us for a community block party in the church parking lot, featuring food vendors, kids’ activities, and plenty of fun for all ages.

On August 15, we’ll step into service with 200 Acts of Kindness, a day dedicated to giving back to our community.

Then on October 18 at 10:00 a.m., we’ll gather for a special combined celebration service with past clergy and our bishop.
